The Gah-Lak-Tus, A.K.A. Galactus
Galactus gives the Surfer his powers.
The Surfer passes The Watcher, who appears as a glowing light in the distance.
Silver Surfer's origin will be told, and he will be challenged by Galactus in a test to see if he is worried to be a herald. The test involves 4 tasks, travel to Thanos's lair and retrieve the Infinity Gauntlet (causing a run-in with Thanos), travel to Planet Poppup and defeat the Impossible Man (later Silver Surfer will team up with him), go to Mephisto's dimension and kidnap his son Blackheart (a run-in with Mephisto), and finally, destroy Earth to feed Galactus. Later, Uatu The Watcher informs the Surfer on Glactus's evil, and the Surfer has no hope but to team up with Impossible Man to destroy Galactus once and for all.
