The Daredevil is a superhero crime film based on the Marvel Comics character Daredevil, directed by Christopher Nolan. It is set to be released on June 12, 2015.

The film begins Nolan's Daredevil trilogy; its story arc is continued in The Man Without Fear (2017) and concluded in Daredevil Returns (2019).

Plot[]

As a child, Matt Murdock's mother died when he was young, leaving only him and his father, a boxer, "Battling" Jack Murdock. When his father refused to throw a boxing match, he was gunned down in an alley. Matt ran off after that, causing a truck to crash, spilling radioactive waste in his eyes. When he woke up in the hospital, he discovered that he was now blind. However, his other four senses were hightened, along with a new "radar sense" that gave him a mental picture of his surroundings. He moved in with his friend Foggy Nelson until going to law school after graduating college.

Years later, Matt, now a young man, is a lawyer. His partner is Foggy Nelson with secritary Karen Page. Matt leaves New York for a year to learn about the criminal underworld. Along the way, he meets Stick, a blind ninja master. Stick trains him in martial arts and using his enhanced senses.

Matt returns to Hell's Kitchen, resumming his role as a lawyer. In addition, Matt makes himself a costume and becomes the vigelante called "Daredevil." On his first night as Daredevil, be breaks up a drug deal. This inspires the police to arrest previously untouchable criminals. Ben Urich, reporter for the Daily Globe, starts to write articles on Daredevil.
